Windows 11 Freeze
Windows 11 Freeze
Following the final two Windows 11 updates, if nothing appears on my desktop for some time, all my icons become unresponsive. Clicking or highlighting them results in no action. I attempted to refresh the desktop, executed sfc /scannow, and verified my power settings are set to "Never Sleep." Is this problem shared by others? Do you have a solution? Thank you.
Update your post with complete hardware details and operating system information. Provide PSU specifications, model, wattage, age, and condition of the original unit versus the new build. List all connected peripherals. Indicate whether the network connection is wired or wireless.
PS: If there was no activity on my desktop for a while, icons should freeze. This suggests the computer was turned off or idle. Check Reliability History/Monitor for any recorded errors or warnings around the time the icons stopped responding.
It seems to be a Windows problem—don't worry about details beyond your setup. If you're unsure, just let me know. Thank you.
