My Windows 11 is beginning to hang when I try to open a desktop folder. If I run the sfc tool, nothing changes.

use dism to inspect the hard drive for issues
execute a manufacturer tool to scan for errors
perform memtest to verify data integrity
measure CPU and GPU temperatures
