I connected my keyboard to the purple and green PS/2 port on my motherboard. It receives power, but the inputs don’t function. It operates properly on my Windows XP desktop. Should I look into installing a driver or purchasing a converter?

Check for any devices listed in Device Manager. Confirm if you linked it when the PC was powered on or off.

Hello, I connected it while it wasn’t running and then powered it up. I’ve included a photo of your device manager here.

It seems the setup isn't working as expected. I'm considering buying a PS/2 dongle online instead.

I don't know for sure if those devices will fix your problem, but I’d probably test them by pointing them at Windows updates. It seems like you might be missing some chipset drivers, as there are many generic ones available.

It looks like two capacitors on the PCB stopped working. I bought the 2.2µF 50V and 47µF 16V ones from Digikey, rewired them, and the problem was resolved. This seems to be a typical issue with this keyboard model—thank you for the guidance.
