I own a custom gaming PC I assembled recently, and it’s facing some problems where it doesn’t enter sleep fully—about a 90% chance either by command or when idle. The screen appears to shut down but the fans and RGBs continue running. You can leave it on for up to three hours before it keeps spinning fans and lights. To stop it completely, you need to press the power button. After restarting, the lights and fan turn off quickly before the system fully boots again, then it jumps into BIOS. Switching on and off works fine.

I’ve seen similar cases; perhaps the power supply is the culprit? I’m wondering if there’s a diagnostic test or method to verify this. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

New theory: I’ve got a fresh line of sim racing pedals that draw power from the MB via USB, even when the PC is off or on, which might be the cause of the problem. I’m planning to run some tests and possibly update this post if anyone else encounters the same issue. If it’s an issue, I’ll consider getting a powered USB hub.
