Since mid December, after a fresh Windows 11 setup, my PC has experienced unexpected shutdowns. The logs only show a failed certificate enrollment for CertificateServicesClient. Shortly after, another error appeared, followed by the system becoming unresponsive and failing to recover until I pressed the reset button. Despite multiple attempts, reinstalling Windows repeatedly over the past year hasn’t resolved the problem. I’ve run memory tests that passed, stress-tested the machine, and confirmed no operating system changes are needed. I’m not enabling OverClock or XMP settings, as I want to ensure these aren’t causing issues. My hardware includes an AMD Ryzen 5950X processor, an Asus x570 Gaming motherboard, 32GB DDR4 RAM, a Kraken x73 AIO CPU cooler, and an Nvidia RTX 3080 graphics card. I’m using the latest AMD chipset drivers, Windows 11 updates, and all device drivers are current. The instability seems to occur randomly, sometimes daily. Running Windows 10 has been stable for me, so I’m considering reverting back for simplicity. I’m studying computer science through an online platform that supports Linux and Android apps, which I find very useful. I’m weighing the pros and cons of upgrading to Windows 11 versus sticking with Windows 10, especially since I value its compatibility with Linux tools and Android features.
