There was a recent issue where the copy/paste feature stopped functioning unexpectedly. I noticed it resumes after restarting Windows Explorer, but I'm unsure about the cause. No major updates were applied and nothing significant has been changed.

It appears the OS could be damaged if the problem disappears after a restart. It might help to check if your motherboard has any pending BIOS updates and see if the OS has any pending updates as well.

It doesn't disappear after rebooting; it might function or not. The best solution is to restart Windows Explorer. I'll look into the updates as well.

Employing the copy paste technique implies that information is being transferred to the clipboard prior to pasting, which might cause issues with how Windows manages clipboard memory or lead to corruption. You might attempt the Ctrl dragging and dropping approach to determine if it works more effectively.

It's strange because it happens unpredictably. Sometimes it lasts for a week before stopping. It's not a major issue, just curious about the reason behind it!
