Windows 11 assigns half of your RAM to a dedicated hardware pool.
About a month ago, I installed two Corsair Vengeance Pro RAM sticks (2x16GB at 3200Mhz). Checking Task Manager showed that half of my RAM was reserved for hardware. Even after updating drivers, GPU settings, and the operating system, the same issue persisted. I tried using my old sticks and the problem remained. I’ve checked the BIOS for odd configurations but found nothing. My system runs a Gigabyte B450M-DS3H Mobo, Ryzen 5 2600X, and an ASUS 1660 Ti Phoenix. Any advice would be appreciated.
Have you experimented with rearranging the RAM modules on the motherboard? Verify they're placed in the proper slots. Consult the manual for slot recommendations; if needed, try swapping positions. As a final option, consider running a Windows memory diagnostic. Best of luck!
