Windows 11 24h2 experiences erratic mouse actions and delayed system reactions.
I've been facing some problems with Windows on two systems that share the same GPU. My mouse behaves oddly—moves too fast, feels like it's accelerating both forward and backward at once, and sometimes seems inverted. It almost feels like I'm running about 1.5 times the EDPI I set. Additionally, when I move the mouse quickly, it causes stuttering or lag. In League of Legends, playing in borderless windowed mode, rapid mouse movement leads to freezing near the screen edges. Swiping fast makes the game barely respond, though the camera still moves. When I pan with swipes, it moves slowly, but tapping the screen edge causes an exaggerated camera effect. In Overwatch 2 and Destiny 2, moving the mouse slowly gives a clear display, but rapid motion results in poor visibility due to frame issues or stuttering. The Windows Explorer feels sluggish, menus tear when scrolling, and my FPS stays steady between 237 and 480. I’m using Ethernet, have fast internet, and consistent ping (around 49 ms). My CPU is not razer-core, but I do have Synapse. I’ve tried basic fixes—disabling EPP, updating drivers, reinstalling, testing different USB ports—but the same issues persist, sometimes more severe. I’m using a new build with a 2080ti Blower card, Ryzen 7800 X3D, AMD Arorus X870, and a high-end monitor (240Hz, OLED). I’ve also got Corsair fans, a Razer Viper v3 Pro, and a decent keyboard. This is my first time on Windows 11 24H2. I've searched extensively online for solutions but haven’t found anything specific to my setup. My performance remains stable otherwise, yet the mouse and display issues keep reappearing. Do you have any ideas about what might be causing this? DxDiag.txt
I also notice this might relate to how Windows scales the interface. Sometimes my horizontal clicks are sharper and quicker, my vertical ones require a bit more effort, and my diagonal actions seem shaky or slow, often looping before reaching their destination.
It seems the mouse sensitivity adjustment is causing some issues. Navigate to Settings, then Bluetooth & Devices, and select Mouse. Turn off the pointer precision setting—it’s often the initial step I disable because it affects aiming accuracy in many games.
It seems the solution lies in the GPU. Have you experimented with another GPU? Stick to Occam's Razor—simplicity often holds true.
Tested multiple mice and epp is among the first components I disable. Sadly, the GPU seems most responsible. I’m just hoping there’s more information on potential causes before swapping it out. GPU prices are steep right now, and I can manage a 4070 in the future, so if nothing else fits the general needs, it might be unavoidable. Any other suggestions?
I’m considering the Mouse concept but think there’s more to explore. A 4070 would improve the overall setup, and AI should definitely address GPU issues in this package.
I highlighted these points for clarity. This upgrade comes from being a major cause of my system's instability. Earlier, I noted this problem affects other machines with different GPUs I use. It seems a mix of factors—possibly involving Windows, Razer, and Nvidia—along with user mistakes—might be at play. I suspect it could relate to scaling, resolution, or aspect ratio issues.
I upgraded to a 5070 RTX, but the issues persisted. Switching to a Zowie PNP mouse helped temporarily, though it was only for short sessions. A new headset addressed audio driver problems, and I’m planning to get a different keyboard to handle more conflicts. The situation has worsened since Windows 10, with each feature update making things worse. Games are now nearly unplayable across various systems. I typically perform thousands of sessions on 300ms ping public Wi-Fi compared to my home network setup. Do you have any suggestions or advice? Anyone with similar experiences would appreciate tips. This seems like a well-known problem in documentation, so I’m not alone.
