Did you transfer it to a USB drive or set it up on one? The method matters a lot. Using a USB drive for booting isn’t recommended for a lasting setup.

I appreciate your honesty. It seems I might have missed the point about the difference between downloaded and installed files. You mentioned successfully getting the Win 11 ISO to a USB, but I need clarity on where you intend to set it up.

You can save the ISO file to your external storage, but you'll need to create a bootable installation media first. This process demands completely wiping the drive, which isn't ideal since it contains existing data. Using a USB flash drive is a better option.
