Windows 10 - You're not getting this!
Windows 10 - You're not getting this!
From the most recent MS press meetings and updates about Windows 10, it’s hard to grasp the tone with Linus and Luke appearing so relaxed. If you’re a PC gamer, you should have been addressed—yet they seem to dismiss your concerns. In an alternate world where Microsoft truly cared about PC gamers, here’s what they might have said:
- A unified game hub on your desktop, bringing together Steam, Origin, uPlay, GOG, and more into one simple interface with third-party support and customization options
- A USB dongle that works with X360 and XONE controllers
- PC games that can stream directly to a TV using XONE or X360 as the streaming device
- All Microsoft Studios titles released simultaneously on both XONE and PC
- Cross-buy deals: purchase a title on PC or XBONE and get the version on another platform for free
That’s what would genuinely excite PC gamers, not just the vague claim about streaming to a powerful machine. Who wants to use a weak device to stream to a strong one? MS, please stop with the empty promises and deliver something meaningful.
You're completely missing the point by focusing on Microsoft's work. It's not about them or their products—it's about what you personally find annoying. Windows and Xbox features are just part of the bigger picture, but your reaction seems more about frustration than understanding.
They're clearly not taking PC gamers seriously, opting instead to buy an Xbox One and all the unnecessary extras. This shows they don’t prioritize players who use computers.
I’m mainly focused on whether DX12 delivers on its promises, and that’s all that matters. Better performance is welcome. However, some users might be relying on their Xbone, making this another convenient option for gaming on Windows. It’s not inherently negative, and a few individuals should move past the complaints.
Some people will complain about anything and when they have nothing to complain about they'll find something ridiculous to complain about. Don't ya just love it! @ AlwaysFSX
This means we’re getting Forza—it’s quite enjoyable. Also, OP, MS isn’t involved in PC gaming. Windows is actually the most popular OS among gamers. That doesn’t imply MS needs to focus on it.
I created that post a few days back and received the identical response. It’s going to be interesting.
