Yes, it's feasible to display Kubuntu in the Windows Boot Menu without using Ubuntu GRUB. You can set up a bootable USB or install Kubuntu separately so it appears during startup instead of the default Ubuntu GRUB.

EasyBCD helps insert a Linux boot file into the Windows bootloader. For Kubuntu to work, Grub must be installed, or you should switch to Systemd-Boot. I haven't tried it myself, but there are helpful instructions available.
