I'll wait until version 10 is stable before testing it.

If folks wish to criticize Win10, let them. They can stay with any version they prefer—10 is clearly superior to earlier releases. If you’re holding back due to concerns about privacy, you might be overanalyzing and acting foolishly. Regarding the comment about bugs, there are indeed some issues, but they’re limited and mostly from third-party software running on a new OS. It’s frustrating when people complain about minor glitches while expecting major problems. Your preference for Windows 10 seems clear—please consider adding a direct affirmation instead of vague negatives.

I understand well that the regular Windows 10 version acts like a data collection farm for government agencies and third parties. That's why switching to W10 would likely require upgrading to W10 Pro to disable those features and avoid forced updates. At least Swndlr thinks W10 isn't worth it unless DX12 proves its value. For Chrome and WoW on two AMD machines (A8 4500M and A8 6410), W8.1 works fine. Right now, DX12 might seem like a lot of nonsense even though it claims lower hardware access; in reality, most games only support DX11 and older versions, so adopting DX12 will take time. Some developers probably won't update older titles to DX12.

Privacy options are turned off in many places. Opt for FTP when sharing files, and keep your own servers for chats (like Teamspeak SSL) rather than using Skype. The only data Microsoft receives is my Outlook account. They also only get what I purchase, allowing them to send me targeted updates that adblock plus can handle. Also, the person writing here seems a bit off—really strong words, but it’s got some edge. Better wear a safety harness.
