I've already attempted to install Windows after formatting the drive with GPT as CSM disabled, but it didn't work. The rest of the process seems too complicated for me right now. I plan to upgrade my hardware in a few months—preferably with a Ryzen 5 3600 and B450 Mobo.
fair enough, i would wait for the next update on september just to be sure it's a windows 10 issue, after all this is a PREVIEW update, so it's what will come to the next september update, it will probably get installed normally that date
The issue often stems from unclear pre-boot messages, making it hard to pinpoint the exact cause. The most frequent culprit is the F6 driver, usually bundled with the system. If your BIOS supports RAID, install the OS using the F6 driver; otherwise, skip it. Sometimes older hardware runs drivers compatible with Windows 7 or 10, but these aren't present in the default setup, rendering recovery tools ineffective.
Located a fix after a final attempt on Reddit. One user mentioned removing the FACEIT ANTI CHEAT and updating Windows, which resolved the issue!
The issue with the update failure was likely caused by the anticheat itself, which appeared to interfere with the process. Removing it helped, and after reinstalling, everything worked again. FaceIT seems to be a problematic addition. Overall, good job fixing the problem!
