I'll make sure my update runs smoothly. When it's time to restart, my PC will reboot and then freeze on the boot screen. The motherboard image will vanish and be swapped with a constant loading icon that never stops. This issue has persisted for a couple of months, even when trying to switch to Windows 11. Any advice or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all!

Could losing all your files and apps happen if you did this correctly? I’m keeping it for later.

Certainly, but it seems you're suggesting access to Windows has been occurring recently, which implies you might be able to restore your data. Programs are often available for reinstallation.
