Windows 10 troubleshooting guide
Hi, over the last month I've experienced random bluescreens while using my computer. Once it starts, it keeps reappearing 3 to 6 times during startup, and then it works normally afterward. The error messages I've seen are: unexpected_store_exception and critical_process_died. At first I assumed my hard drive was failing, but after checking with the CrystalDiskInfo tool it looked fine. I also tried updating the GPU drivers, but that didn't help either. My Windows is up to date. Could this be a hardware problem?
This problem usually stems from a failing hard drive, a bad SATA cable, or a malfunctioning SATA port. The error indicates Windows tried to get data from the drive but didn’t receive it properly or received corrupted information. It’s wise to back up any crucial data before proceeding. Try replacing the cable first; if that doesn’t resolve it, the issue likely lies with your HDD or board.
Identify the issue as a hardware problem, verify loose connections. If the problem persists, try reformatting but likely you should move critical data first in case it's hardware-related. Files may become corrupted, so consider software solutions initially but prioritize hardware checks first. Examine the drive for any signs of failure.
