You can install the SSD immediately and perform a fresh setup. The only minor drawback is that your bootloader remains on the original hard drive. Ensure you adjust the hard drive sequence in your BIOS prior to starting the W10 installation! The motherboard must accommodate the SSD, though it might be limited to SATA2, leading to slower sequential performance (still significantly better than an HDD)
