I purchased a Dell G3 about a month ago. Most functions are working fine, but my desktop icons keep flickering unexpectedly. Am I missing a driver update? Might there be an issue with my Windows 10 setup?

It occurs regularly, sometimes as a brief flash and other times lasting longer.

It varies unpredictably. Occasionally it occurs, then it becomes erratic and begins flashing 3-4 times per minute.

Set up Comodo firewall and observe connections. It was last seen on a compromised machine, but it's just making assumptions. Suggest disabling indexing files on the desktop or trying alternative methods.
