This has been really frustrating and I haven't found a fix after trying for about half an hour. I'm using Windows 10 on a Surface Pro 3. The problem is it won't shut off the screen by itself. For instance, in power and sleep settings, choosing "turn off after 1 minute" doesn't work. After just 50 seconds, the screen gets dimmer, then after another minute it starts playing the Lockscreen slideshow. If it's still plugged in, the slideshow keeps going and ignores the sleep time. In battery mode it does stop the slideshow, but I can't find a way to switch between the slideshow and turning off the screen. This is especially annoying during class because I have to turn it off manually every time or risk using up my battery. Any ideas or solutions would be greatly appreciated!
