It was a bit surprising thinking about a 4k 17-inch laptop, but I appreciate the focus on higher pixel density. Windows 10’s scaling performance has been a concern lately, and I’m curious if updates can improve it. Also, I’ve noticed games often struggle in 1080p on 4k screens. Once I thought the display ratio was perfect, but it turns out it isn’t. I can still run some titles in 4k with a GTX 1070, though. I’m considering investing in a 4k monitor and a GTX 1080 for my PC, aiming for around 120Hz. Many of the games I play already have frame rate issues at higher resolutions, like Fallout 4 becoming unstable after 60 frames or Naruto Storm 4 capping at 30Hz.

It doesn't lose quality too much, but performance varies. Anything without solid vector graphics will struggle with scaling. Games handle 1080p well, especially on a 17-inch screen—should work just fine. I'm more worried about using a 17-inch laptop; it'll be bulky and heavy, not ideal for everyday use beyond LAN parties. If you're thinking about a 1080 resolution, skip it—it's not worth the premium over a 1070.

I own a 15-inch MSI Ghost Pro 4K, which works well as a laptop. I don’t usually play games at that resolution, though it would be impractical... Windows 10 feels a bit sluggish here, possibly due to the system being built for Windows 8, but I haven’t encountered any serious problems running it on my machine.

I was thinking about upgrading to a 1080 later, but right now I’m planning a 1070 for the laptop. LPC Digital offers a solid return policy. I was thinking about getting a 17-inch, possibly 4K monitor and checking if it fits well or works for me—I can return it if needed. I’m mainly interested in 4K games like Overwatch, and a 1070 should handle them easily. What kind of issues do you encounter?

The issues I encounter are when the Windows home screen suddenly turns black a few times, it's just a visual annoyance. Overwatch with 1070 works, but it depends on battery life and whether your laptop gets too hot. I’m okay at 1440, but with a 970 it’s a bit of a problem. Witcher 3 handles 1080p well, though some health bars and maps might look a little larger.

The bugs continue to appear even after switching to 1080p. I’m mainly using my laptop for gaming, but I’m considering a Clevo first. If the battery isn’t performing well, lowering it to 1080p might help. I’m also thinking about getting a refund and switching to an Alienware with a larger battery if time is tight. I’m uncertain about the 17-inch size but know my 14" model feels cramped. For certain games, I struggle with immersion on a small screen. In the worst case, I might have to request a refund and switch brands.
