Windows updates after the PRISM breach pose risks, just like Apple devices. There are methods to reduce exposure, though results depend on the software being used. The safest choice is likely to move to Linux. For me, Ubuntu with GNOME or Xubuntu would be ideal options.
That’s the internet and program usage they don’t track what you type in a document. Just a note, most sites gather data about your activity to customize ads. If you use adblock, it doesn’t really change things. Personally, I’d prefer ads for PCs and audio over “cute Asian girls nearby.”
