The 64-bit version of Windows 10 generally handles graphics and development tasks more efficiently due to its larger address space and improved performance capabilities compared to the 32-bit version. It also tends to be faster overall, especially when managing multiple applications or intensive projects.

Choose the 64-bit edition only; the 32-bit version won’t work with many current programs since most modern ones are built for 64-bit.

You might want to consider upgrading to more RAM. A 64-bit system with only 4GB can run slower, so adding 8GB could improve performance significantly.

It's a strong suggestion to have a minimum of 8GB of memory.

For graphics purposes, the display panel and CPU/GPU take precedence over RAM. Tackle those first, and verify the laptop can be upgraded with minimal trouble. Expanding memory is straightforward. Swapping the display panel is less common, while the CPU and GPU are typically fixed.
