I’m having trouble keeping my Windows 10 desktop from sleeping. It powers off roughly every three hours. All settings are set to never enter sleep mode, even in advanced options. I’m trying to mine on this machine and it bothers me because I have to repeatedly wake it up. This issue has occurred before I began mining, so it’s not my first problem. My PC is an Asus Crosshair hero VI with a Ryzen 1700x processor.

If everything is configured properly, I’d check the scheduled tasks to determine if they were causing the sleep.

You could respond by pointing out the issue and suggesting a fix.

Hibernate was turned off in the advanced settings. No recurring tasks seem responsible. I attempted a regedit fix and adjusted the unattended sleep timeout to zero, hoping it resolves the issue. It’s possible a BIOS configuration might be the cause. Thanks.

Explore the power settings and tap the restore plan default option, it could resolve the issue. Edited January 17, 2018 by wkdpaul

Did you review your event viewer for alerts, issues and warnings around the time the system shut down?
Is there a screen saver configured? Review its options.
Do you have a UPS with power management software enabled? Visit the provided link for details.
