I rely on a DVD drive to store old software on discs. I also used it after upgrading my prebuilt system. It stopped working due to a power supply issue.

I wouldn't feel confident using that device since it wouldn't hold up well under force. Even if burners can still read discs, they often become unreliable once the writing quality drops.

Another issue with burned DVDs at home is their tendency to deteriorate gradually. They usually last about a year, though some lower-quality versions can fail sooner.

The Windows 10 installation media appears to function correctly after burning it from the media creation tool. It should have loaded smoothly, and the process completed within roughly ten minutes using the USB drive. Thanks for your support!
