I’m working on installing a brand new Windows version onto a brand-new SSD (Samsung Evo 860, 500GB). No matter how I try, the installation keeps freezing during the setup phase. It only stops when it thinks it’s preparing the files, then I have to restart the computer, erase the drive, and start over. My motherboard is an MSI Z390 Pro, and both my boot device and USB drive have been wiped clean, with the Windows ISO loaded twice. Everything else seems fine except for the unresponsive system. Can you help?

Have you given it a chance? It might be attempting to access the flash drive. If feasible, switch to another drive.

I woke up during a cold night only to discover everything remained frozen. I also have a brand new SSD—SanDisk 120GB—it behaves the same way. No matter what I do, they keep freezing up.

I've also attempted a different USB connection and achieved the same outcome.

No, I don't use a media creation tool.

I utilized the media creation tool on both usbs to generate an iso of windows 10. When the issue occurred, I assumed the usbs were damaged. I reinstalled them, but the situation remained unchanged.

I've attempted both methods and got the same outcome. I also tried resetting the BIOS by removing the battery, but that didn't work.
