Windows 10 runs slower than version 7 on many systems.
I just finished setting up Coffeelake and faced issues installing Windows 7, so I switched to Windows 10 temporarily while trying to update and run it properly. One thing that stood out with Windows 10 is its speed compared to Windows 7, especially when running multiple apps or YouTube tabs open. Windows 10 feels snappier—about three to five apps or tabs at once—and handles heavy tasks much better. I can manage a dozen YouTube tabs while playing a game without any noticeable lag on Windows 10, whereas it becomes very obvious on Windows 7. I’m not sure if this is just my perception, but Task Manager and Fraps show similar or slightly improved performance on Windows 10. Both systems use the same 160GB Intel SSDs (320GB), running on the same machine.
I don't see much distinction, yet I appreciate the extra ten for visual appeal.
I have different opinions on both points. Ten represents the same poor metro interface seen in version eight. As I write this, I’m managing 25 YouTube tabs on my second screen while I play PUBG on my primary display. The frame time limits are almost under 30 milliseconds.
