Hi, I just set up my new computer and am trying to install Windows 10 onto an SSD. I used the Microsoft Media Creation Tool to make a bootable ISO and reached the "Install now" option. When I clicked it, a warning appeared asking if a missing media driver is needed. It suggested checking a DVD, USB, or hard disk driver. If you have one of those on your computer, please insert it now. Also, note that if the Windows installation media is on the DVD drive or USB, you can safely remove it before proceeding.

I've tested both USB 3 and USB 2 connections.

I might attempt to rebuild the USB installation drive if it didn’t function properly initially.

I also utilized the media creation tool for the bootable USB, but I wonder if making an ISO first would have been better?

This should work just like before. Your tool from Microsoft is meant to simplify the process, but you might need to start fresh. Did you manage to format the chosen drive without any problems?
