They pushed me to upgrade Windows 10, replacing the Windows 7 style with a new interface. Now my taskbar is blank and everything feels unfamiliar. It seems either the installation failed or everyone was required to use Task View. Can you help me investigate further?

Yes, you can share an image. Windows 10 differs from Windows 7 yet remains recognizable.

It seems like your task bar icons are missing and the bottom-right corner that connects to the desktop isn't functioning. The Windows button is unresponsive. @ tahmidkhan123 Also, the current theme isn't working properly.

Planning to attempt that once I discover a method to restart without using alt+F4, lol.

This setup seems unusual, doesn't it? You're currently using Windows 10 and expecting to see standard taskbar icons for apps, Cortana, and other system elements. It might be a hidden setting or a misconfiguration. Checking the settings could help clarify what's missing or visible.

I turned the computer off and on again; most icons are back. However, a lot of background activity is still happening as processes run. I’ll hold off and everything seems okay now.

It's a Windows 10 update to Windows 10. They made me install it this morning.

You may need to reset and remove all prior files during the setup again.

I performed a fresh installation of 10, not just an upgrade.
