I purchased an older HP stream 11 with Windows 8 instead of the original Windows 10, but the system stopped working. I switched to Ubuntu until I figured out how to reinstall Windows 10, but I downloaded the ISO from Microsoft and used winusb on my laptop with Ubuntu. However, whenever I try to boot from the USB, I see an error message and don’t know what to do. I’m looking for advice without spending money on a Windows 10 license.

Secure Boot seems to be malfunctioning, likely related to Windows USB. As suggested, follow Slottr's advice and obtain the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft. Use it to download and ready your USB flash drive. https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software.../windows10
