Following the latest(?) changes my Windows 10 behavior has changed significantly. Launching most apps, even the standard ones, now leads to a blank screen followed by a crash. The start menu tiles also display incorrectly, showing @{Microsoft.appname} instead of the usual name. There seems to be no straightforward fix without a full reinstall, though I’m open to trying it if necessary. Screenshots are included for reference.

It seems everything is out of order. I suggest a fresh setup for Windows. You should be fine.

You can reinstall Windows without losing your files. However, before proceeding, I recommend creating a fresh account and checking if the issue resolves there. If successful, move all data to your new account and remove the old one. If your current account is linked to Microsoft, you must first convert it to a local account before setting up the new one, as duplicate accounts aren't allowed.

I created a fresh local account and noticed no strange @{Microsoft-related} symbols. Most default apps aren’t installed, but using the app store seems to restore their functionality.

Usually these items should be present, but if you manage to source them from the Store and everything functions perfectly, then it's fine. If not... well, at least it was an attempt.
