I've attempted using the Microsoft account to restrict websites via https://account.microsoft.com/family/. It still permits sites even though he's marked as a child user and not an administrator. I've tested various third-party tools that block access when configured, but they fail when the computer restarts. I've modified the host file to redirect traffic back to his device, yet Windows 10 repeatedly overwrites it after a few reboots. Setting up a proxy was another option—only certain sites can bypass it by selecting the connection issue option in Microsoft Edge, which then disables the proxy. I also tried configuring it on the router, but it continues blocking all access. It's unclear what's happening; anyone have some advice? My son is 8 and autistic, so keeping him away from YouTube and Roblox helps him focus on homework while I'm at work. His PC runs Windows 10 Pro 32-bit with all updates applied, and his account is set as a standard child user.

There seems to be confusion about using Microsoft tools to manage a child's website access. If the child has put in effort to bypass restrictions, that approach is likely to fail. Website blockers are generally ineffective.

Does the child have access through their parent’s account, which is recognized as a family member in your system? Assume that’s the standard.

He is listed as a child member on my account, but he isn’t able to access the Microsoft account.
