System details: R9 5900x, 12/24 GB RAM, 64GB SSD, 3600MHz DDR4, Asus B550-i motherboard, RX 6750X graphics card.
Current storage: One Samsung 980 Pro 1TB drive (new today for testing), one WD SATA SSD 1TB, an old Samsung 980 Pro 1TB with heatsink, and a Fedora 38 installation.
Recent changes: Account created for reporting an issue. No downloads on Windows 10 Pro or 11 Pro, regardless of Steam installer, Fusion 360, or OneDrive.
Notes: Hard wiring not feasible due to garage setup. Used USB repair and cellular data; SSD from store didn’t resolve the problem.
Testing: Works on Windows 10 (works for downloads), but not on Linux—possibly due to configuration.
Pine Book Pro (Manjro ARM) also shows issues with Fedora but works on Windows 10.
Still experiencing crashes or freezes after downloads, especially with Fedora.
