Hi there, I'm facing a really annoying issue with my Windows 10 Pro x64 build 17763.107. Recently, while installing "Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.9.2 Recommended," several viruses appeared. The main file detected by Avira was amd64.dll. I use Google Chrome for downloads and rely on Avira Pro Internet Security and Windows Defender. I obtained the files from an AMD website. After installing, I encountered viruses again shortly after, even after rebooting. To fix this, I disconnected two HDDs for storage, reformatted my Samsung EVO 860, installed a fresh Windows 10 1803 update, and then reinstalled Avira Pro Internet Security, but it still caught the same threats. Frustrated, I bought a new SSD and downloaded both Windows 10 Pro 1703 and Kaspersky Internet Security Suite. Both versions picked up the same viruses. Could anyone assist me with this?

Do you recall the connection used to obtain the document? It seems suspicious to me.

All data was cleared with the previous setup. Avira was fully removed and Kaspersky is also disabled. The system runs very slowly now, especially when connecting to the internet—like a 480p YouTube video loads extremely slowly. I’m using a 1.2Gbps Wi-Fi router, and disconnecting it restores normal performance.

Keep the WiFi off and allow Windows Defender to perform a complete system check. If any issues are detected, ensure you whitelist relevant folders before proceeding. Should the scan reveal no problems, consider reinstalling the WiFi and Radeon drivers. However, let's not rush—first assess the Defender results.

I'm about to perform the check immediately. Should I worry and switch addresses or not? Haha!

In the worst case, you might have to reset Windows completely and then reset all your passwords just in case.

Windows Defender performed well without issues. I’m planning to reinstall Windows again and will only install Kaspersky this time. The system has no cracked games or software—mostly used it solely for gaming.

It seems there was probably just a false alarm from Avira. If the drivers got corrupted, a quick reinstall should fix it. Still, a complete OS reset can be beneficial. Make sure to save all important files in your folders (like savegames), plus bookmarks and login info for sites and forums.

Everything appears to be in order after completing a fresh partition setup and installing Windows. The Kaspersky Internet Security Suite is now running smoothly. I didn’t expect such a seamless experience. Thanks, Captain Chaos!
