Windows 10 price?
Windows 10 price?
I recently assembled a new gaming PC using Windows 10 Home. I looked for a product key and discovered several videos suggesting kinguin.net. My concern grows as some users report their keys being deactivated, and the site feels suspiciously inexpensive. I was considering protection options, but now I question whether they’ll cover losses from stolen credit cards or PayPal accounts. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, cam. Updated: Found an $89.99 version on outletpc.com! Now I just need to place the order. Edited June 27, 2017 by Derpymcderpington
The site or platform doesn’t intend to take money from you; most keys are technically taken and could be removed at any time. For students, free Windows is often available through services like Dreamspark. Legitimate Windows can drop to around $80, and you can download it without activation. If you claim you installed Windows 10, that suggests you already own a valid copy of the software.
You've been relying on Windows Key from kinguin.net without any problems for over a year.
The method used by some to sell keys without proper licenses is considered piracy. These sellers often operate from places like China and Hong Kong. You don’t have to pay for piracy, but we won’t address this topic here. Microsoft only offers discounts to business customers, students, or during product launches. There’s an established way to obtain Windows Enterprise through volume licensing—search online, it’s well documented.
I downloaded Windows from my personal USB drive. I’d like to use a license key rather than installing it without activation.
If you're not confident about them (that's completely okay), obtain an official key from the source. There are often student or teacher discounts available, though details may vary. The main reason for needing a key is to ensure you can install and run the software properly, as some features won't work without it. For more information, just search online.
This situation is quite uncertain and risky. Reddit microsoftsoftwareswap is a bit worse, though it's still unclear because those keys aren't meant to be sold separately. I'd suggest choosing Reddit over G2A and Kinguin if you can't pay the full Windows cost. By the way, you might also use Windows 10 for free, but don't try to activate it. Eventually, you can purchase the official $100 key and enable it.
MS sets the guidelines, you join as a collaborator and follow their standards or you act like the Chinese do. There’s no ambiguity here. Reddit isn’t any safer than other problematic platforms.
