Hello everyone. I recently cleaned my PC, and everything seemed normal before. Now, after the cleaning, I started noticing random restarts. At first, I thought it was just a minor issue, but it kept happening without warning. I assumed the hard drive was faulty, so I swapped it out and reinstalled Windows 10. After updating and ensuring all drivers were up to date, the problems returned—especially during gameplay. I ran a memory test and everything looked fine; my CPU temperatures were normal, and no malware was found by AVG Antivirus or Windows Defender. I checked Event Viewer but only found one error: "The CldFlt service failed to start due to the following error: The request is not supported." My question is, what really caused these restarts? Could it be related to the updates? Are there any other components involved? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you! Here are my details: Processor: i3-6100 Graphics Card: Palit GTX 1050 RAM: Ballistix 8gb 2400Mhz Storage: WD 1Tb (previous), Seagate 250gb (new) PSU: Thermaltake Litepower 550w

I experienced a similar issue with one of my clients. The problem was identical to what you mentioned. I cleaned everything thoroughly on the workbench, but the issue continued. No temperature anomalies were reported via HWInfo. For fun, I removed the CPU fan and sink, cleaned them with denatured alcohol, applied a fresh layer of Arctic Silver, and reinserted everything. The problem vanished, and the machine now runs smoothly without any BSODs, restarts, or shutdowns. Give it a try—no losses, just gains. Good luck!
