For a reason, my Samsung 970 Evo 1tb Trim isn’t auto-running. I haven’t changed any settings, and the SSD is becoming slower—almost as slow as my HDD. I’m wondering how to get Trim to run automatically every day.

Testing speed involves checking performance metrics. The optimize disks page displays information about disk optimization tasks and their status. You can schedule a task to run commands like optimize-volume to manage drives efficiently.

This appears to be a command for PowerShell or CMD, not admin.

That PowerShell command image? It displays the overview of EventViewer. What it shows is a summary of the application's status and available features.

No information is visible in Event Viewer. Note: I last executed Trim about an hour ago. Edited June 24, 2020 by Guest

What method are you using to track speeds, aside from trim? The speeds should be quite strong. In the event viewer, then check Windows logs and application data. Look for defrag results to see the outcome.

EV displays all successful results. I'm relying on basic copy-paste (similar quick speed to my SATA 3 SSD) and Crystal Disk-Mark 7 (1GB, 5 passes).

What does the crystal disk indicator display? Does performing a trim improve its performance?

It remained the same post-trim, yet it continues reminding me to trim even after it starts working.

These speeds seem acceptable, no major concerns. You can arrange a scheduled task, though there isn’t a significant issue here.
