I'm curious about how others viewed Windows 10 after its release, and whether upgrading from 8.1 to 10 makes sense for you.

I really enjoy Windows 10—it fits perfectly with my style. Remove the outdated 8.1 version and upgrade to 10.

Ten is fine, just understand that mandatory updates can affect performance more than Windows 7 might cause compatibility issues with certain hardware because whoops.

I rely on the enterprise edition for professional tasks. The choices made earlier explain this preference. If your system includes Windows 10 drivers, especially on a laptop, consider researching compatibility before switching.

I rely solely on Windows 10 since Linux lacks strong game support.

I really dislike it... but I was forced into it from Windows 7 and never really used Windows 8. It's the most intrusive, annoying, buggy, and broken interface I've ever encountered. If they hadn't intentionally sabotaged Windows 7, I'd gladly switch back. If I were more tech-savvy, I'd enjoy trying Linux, but I already have enough issues with Windows to think Linux would be the end of my remaining sanity. In short, upgrade or don’t—Microsoft will always find a way to push you further.

8.1 remains the top choice in my opinion. 10 works well too, especially with multiple monitors and a touch screen.

A single small point: with the Pro version you can turn off automatic updates and pick the "notify me but not download" choice instead.

I prefer pirates over Microsoft taking control of my computer. Even if you think you need to pay Microsoft to monitor me, it’s better to be safe than sorry.
