Hello. I’m facing a problem where none of my network adapters appear in the "Network Connections" section of the Control Panel, and I’m unable to access the internet. After checking Device Manager, both my Wireless LAN and Ethernet devices show errors. The Ethernet error reads: “This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31) The device is pending further configuration.” My Ethernet adapter is labeled as Intel® Ethernet Connection, version 12.15.23.8. The Wireless LAN error states: “Windows is still setting up the class configuration for this device (Code 56).” The name listed is Realtek 8822BE Wireless LAN 802.11ac PCI-E NIC Driver, version 2023.79.601.2018. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled drivers from ASUS and Intel, but nothing has changed. After restarting the PC and following all troubleshooting steps, I still can’t connect. I attempted to update drivers via Windows Update, which reported it already had the latest version. My motherboard is an ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-E, and my PC is a custom build. I’m hoping someone can assist me with this issue. Thank you.

Checked the October 1809 update. It might be risky, but I recommend removing it just in case. Some reports suggest it could impact Intel’s sound and Ethernet features.

I didn't set up the October 1809 Update. Windows Update attempted to install the 1803 Update but encountered the error 0x80073701, which appears to be a corrupt file. I'm unsure how to resolve this issue since I've checked all online solutions without success.

Also, just a update: I have done the same troubleshooting step again hoping that it would work, which was to uninstall the adapter from my PC and let windows reinstall it itself. and now I have a different error code for the Ethernet adapter. and that is Code 56 which is the same as my Wireless LAN one.
