Hey there, I've been running Windows 10 with TP Build 10074 for a while now. Recently I noticed some problems. About two weeks ago, before the lock screen appeared, I was seeing a black screen with no cursor. After roughly 45 seconds, the lock screen showed up. Now it takes around five minutes for the Windows boot logo to vanish and then the black screen follows. Sometimes programs or files take about an hour to open, and copying even the smallest file feels slow—sometimes it takes five minutes for it to show up in the folder I copied it to. Also, I’ve noticed that pressing Windows key or clicking the logo no longer brings up the start menu. The SSD is a Samsung 850 EVO with 250GB storage and it’s performing okay in CrystalDiskMark. Thanks for your help!

You've been progressing from version 10074 to 10240 so far? Let's start from scratch. This time, we'll do a clean install. You'll avoid all the issues. Confirmed.

I've been refining my knowledge since June of last year, when it was version W7.

It makes sense. Carry out a fresh setup. You'll be glad you did.

It's straightforward to mention, but restoring all my programs and settings is quite challenging.
