I noticed a similar problem with Windows 10 where right-clicking a folder and choosing "Open" in File Explorer results in multiple copies appearing. Also, double-clicking in the explorer doesn't always open it in the same window even when that option is selected. I think you have the option to do this enabled. 1- Close all folders. 2- Go to Folder Option panel. Under the "General" tab, you have the option "Open each folder in the same window", make sure it is selected. If it is already, select the other option, hit Apply, and select back the other option, and click on Apply, OK. Now it should work fine.

I can open all folders in the same window at once. I've reverted the settings. Also tested in safe mode, but the outcome was the same. This seems unusual.
