I received the latest update and it caused major issues. Going back to the earlier version resolved the problem, but once I updated again, everything broke. Someone might be experiencing the same issue now.
You altered system files and the registry for this start menu change. It seems you also didn’t perform a full registry cleanup, and other system adjustments (hopefully these were resolved correctly). Upgrades can sometimes cause issues, so avoid cleaning the registry unless you’re certain about it. Make sure to uninstall any third-party OS modifications before beginning the upgrade. You might be aiming for a fresh installation.
StartisBack worked smoothly during the transition from 8.1 to 10, and from 10 to Anniversary. Cleaning with CCleaner has always been problem-free. I've used it for at least seven years, possibly longer. I'm open to testing anything, so I'll go back to the previous version and reinstall after uninstalling StartisBack. I'll share the outcome.
Thanks for the update. I wasn't anticipating this fix. It seems I rarely updated the software, which might have contributed to the problem—not just the presence of the program on my system. The developers released version 2 for the Creators update in April, but I probably missed downloading it.
