Warning: this article might come across as a bit grumpy. About two months back, I upgraded my system. The components are brand new (just released): CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1600 OC 3.55 GHz, Motherboard: Gigabyte AX370, RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3000 @2933Mhz, SSD: Intel 545s 512GB, HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB, GPU: MSI GTX 1080 DUKE OC, Power Supply: Corsair CX650M, Operating System: Windows 10 Pro. Recently, I started investigating why Windows 10 takes so long to launch. I have an ultra-fast boot option enabled in UEFI, but Windows 10 doesn’t support it. (I’ve seen little difference.) When I power it up, I see the Aorus logo for a few seconds, then a brief flashing white line for half a second. Then it jumps to the Windows loading screen, and the small circle animation begins. It lingers around ten seconds before fading to black, after which the screen returns but with lower resolution and a slower frame rate. It stays there another ten seconds before moving to the login screen. This really frustrates me because I invested $1800 in a new machine with an SSD, only to have it start slower than my older system using a 2007 HDD. What I did: Disabled CPU overclock, set SSD as first boot priority, switched Windows 10 fast boot on, and used the Intel SSD Toolbox. Whenever I try TRIM, it throws errors about a RAID setup I don’t have. Last time, maybe related? Sometimes, after roughly two seconds when the screen lights up, the system powers off briefly before restarting. After another couple of seconds, it comes back on and restarts everything again. This whole build has been a real hassle. I just hope it works smoothly and runs efficiently without any issues every day. Thanks!

Make sure to save all your data before proceeding. It’s important to back up your files on the SSD in case Windows fails.

I've experienced this before. It occurs on the Windows 10 copy I installed last Monday. The reason is unclear to me.

There seems to be no established solution. Recently, the display would briefly show the window screen before returning to the password screen.

Additionally, the flashing logo followed by a drop to a lower quality also occurred on my previous device.

Open the Control Panel to enable fast startup, which speeds up boot time. https://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/4189...-10-a.html Afterward, press Win+R, type msconfig, and hide all Microsoft services while unchecking others. Click Apply.

The issue is affecting both devices after updating to Windows 10. Previously, logging in took just 6-7 seconds with the preinstalled version. Now it's taking around 15 seconds for the login screen and even longer at the 'acer' logo.

I should be able to achieve a 15-second boot time. My SSD is decent, but I struggle past the one-minute mark. Fast startup doesn’t really matter to me—I prefer programs to load immediately. I’m thinking about purchasing a Samsung 960 EVO drive. That sounds like an overkill. Anyone know if the Windows logo sometimes disappears briefly and then restores in pixelated form?

It might be useful to note that I possess a DVD drive, although it's turned off in the BIOS settings.
