Hi everyone, I'm trying to resolve a laptop problem my friend is facing. Most Windows 10 settings are missing, and even creating a new user doesn't solve it. The sfc /scannow tool isn't detecting any issues, cleaning the registry hasn't helped, and I've tried various commands, PowerShell reinstalls, virus scans, but nothing works. I'm looking for alternatives to a full reinstall without completely wiping Windows. Anyone know if this has happened before? What might be causing it and how can I fix it? Any advice would be super helpful!
I've attempted this but haven't managed to get the laptop to accept or start a repair install from a USB. Could you provide a guide I can follow? Also, when checking the group policy editor, everything indicates they're not configured. Is there a specific setting I should verify and ensure is enabled?
