Ask in the forum: My laptop only gets official OEM support for Windows 8.1 and doesn’t work with Windows 10. After installing GWX Control Panel when Windows 10 first came out, I thought it would stop pushing updates. I wonder if removing GWX CP will stop Windows 10 from trying to force an upgrade.
The free upgrade chance for Windows 10 is no longer available. If you haven’t bought a copy, you’ll have to buy a new license. Also, I’m not sure what you meant by your question.
