I previously attempted to play Fallout: New Vegas with DXVK after the AMD drivers would crash during startup on regular DX9. Although it functioned, it caused noticeable stuttering that wasn’t there before. The game would run smoothly for a few seconds before freezing briefly and restarting. Later, I switched back to playing on DX9, which resolved the issue since the crashes were linked to AMD drivers. I also experimented with DXVK on GTA IV and Borderlands 2, finding it helpful for those titles but worsening stuttering in Borderlands 2, rendering it nearly unplayable. I’m trying to determine if the problem lies with DXVK itself or if my setup is causing the issue. Most of the troubles I encountered were reported on Linux platforms. The installation process is straightforward, but some adjustments are needed based on the game being installed. System details: GPU – Radeon RX 7600 8GB, Driver version – 24.6.1, CPU – AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, DXVK version – 2.3.1. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
