Windows 10 issues freezing after the October 1809 update Update problems causing system slowdown
Previously I upgraded to the October release, version 1809. My computer would completely stall unexpectedly. It could occur at any time—while I was using it or after several hours—and the cursor would remain stationary. Even the screen output stayed active. I had to force a reset to restore functionality. The CPU and GPU temperatures were normal. Memory checks came back clear. Eventually, I went back to version 1803, which worked perfectly. I kept seeing update prompts, which I ignored. When I returned home, my PC had updated again. Someone in my household might have done it. I’m curious if there’s a solution or if I’ll need to revert once more. I’d rather not, since the dark theme in File Manager, clipboard history, and Snip & Sketch were enjoyable.
