I'm the only option I had left for assistance. After searching extensively online, I couldn't locate any information about this issue. I recently purchased a netbook, Jumper Ezbook 3 Pro, which features a M.2 slot. I installed a 120GB WD Green SSD, extracted the product key using PowerShell, and followed the steps to uninstall Windows 10. I cleared all drives and partitions, including the SSD and a 64GB eMMC drive that already had Windows installed. At the moment, I've spent about eight hours trying to install Windows 10. Sometimes it fails completely, showing an error code 0x80070057, other times it works fine but the BIOS doesn't recognize it as a bootable device—even though I see around 10 gigabytes used on that drive. When I attempt to reinstall, it warns me to create Windows.old. My BIOS settings are very limited, coming from the manufacturer, and I can't flash an unlocked BIOS because I can't access Windows. I also tried using DiskPart to partition the drive for installation, but I'm struggling to manually create a GPT partition.

I was attempting to reinstall from an eMMC drive to an SSD since the slower eMMC was affecting the netbook’s speed. I’m new to this process, but I’ve tried before. I haven’t found a way around it yet and need the device up and running quickly.

Don't waste time on nonsense. If you're really skilled, why avoid using the same setup for M.2 drives? Test it first and then proceed to format your internal storage. What issues arise with system.old? Is this just a problem the installer generates by mistake?

I wasn’t anticipating everything failing. I’ve reinstalled Windows many times before, without running into such issues. I’m not accusing anything, just highlighting that the installer actually recognized the system.

Go ahead and install it regardless of the installer's detection. Alternatively, employ a bootable partition manager such as gparted to ensure thorough drive cleaning.

I attempted to set it up, but the system isn't recognizing it and restoring the MBR didn't work.

The Bios boot menu offers several choices to configure your system settings.

Preparation should be done with GPT, not with MBR.

I have a Windows installation with an EFI shell already set up, and it blocks me from adding Windows 10 to the MBR partition.
