Upgrading from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10 on a new laptop was a real challenge. The only solution was a full reinstall. It worked smoothly on my desktop, though the new version felt quite different. On the positive side, Ubuntu preserved most of my files—only half was lost. Regarding Windows 10, it caused some issues like game crashes, update problems, and web browsing hiccups. The Bluetooth stopped working, but I don’t need it anymore.

It's not a total loss. If you thought it would function well for everyone right away, then using computers in general might not be ideal. That could seem a bit strong. I just meant it was fairly obvious it wouldn't be perfect out of the box. Still, we hope things improve in the future.

That's correct, Linux and Mac are designed to work together seamlessly! 8D, you're right—after reinstalling, it functioned properly.

Positive outcomes for me. When Microsoft announced a free upgrade from Win7/8 to Windows 10, I realized I’d plan a complete reinstall afterward.

When your Windows 8.1 on desktop was just a few weeks old, it performed perfectly.

For those new to computers, Linux can be tricky. Be prepared for occasional hiccups—those are common. It’s wise to back up your data and consider a clean installation just in case.

Sure, just to clarify—you're suggesting there would be few system logs or unnecessary files.

Linux usually works well, though my USB had a major issue once during an update—except for that, right? I’m sure about it! Maybe I should have cleaned it up with a good cleaner, but that might have caused more problems!

Which distribution are you running? I'm having trouble setting up a Linux installation without a lot of effort.
