Tails is a CD designed to handle tasks efficiently and then restart the system. It’s excellent for its purpose, but if privacy is key during regular browsing, Tor isn’t the best choice. Consider using a VPN instead, since many users share the same IP address, which can mix your data with others. Be sure to avoid web browser fingerprinting.

Git that idea. Linux isn’t always what you expect and “alternative” doesn’t always work. I’m okay with Windows 10 and Linux Mint if needed. Edit: I should have mentioned the Hosts part was more playful. For every day user, you seem really paranoid, thinking the company has a personal connection with you and wants to share secrets. I don’t agree with everything enabled by default, but it makes sense for most people. If you’re breaking the law, you wouldn’t be using any Microsoft OS at all.

I genuinely don’t care. I’m not touching any devices at all, and I use them constantly for gaming and work. There’s nothing alarming here, honestly. The real reason matters most...

The specific reason I avoid using Linux is because I prefer Windows more, and I don’t expect that to shift significantly over the next five years.
