Hi Everyone, I recently bought a new SSD and a standard HDD. During Windows 10 installation, I encountered problems. I used Rufus to create an image from my USB drive with GPT settings. In the BIOS, I set the boot mode to legacy+UEFI and selected the USB stick. However, it kept asking me to boot in UEFI mode. I switched it to UEFI in the boot options but still couldn’t start. The screen freezes and nothing happens. I also can’t find a way to disable Secure Boot in the BIOS. My motherboard is an MSI 970 Gaming board. Do you have any suggestions? Should I try creating the USB again with MBR settings?

Use the built-in media creation feature in Microsoft: https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=691209. Rufe Rufus zum Einsatz, benötigt aber zusätzliche Konfiguration.

Rufus works well for making bootable USBs and has been used for years. I also rely on Etcher for files that Rufus struggles with. I’ve never needed the Windows USB creation tool, and it saves time since you only download once, then make as many as required.
