Hi, hardware: you're using an MSI laptop GE73 8RF with USB booting. The installation image is from Microsoft and previously worked on another PC. The issue started after deleting all partitions—one M.2 SSD and one HDD were left. You selected the SSD for installation and everything seemed fine so far. Now you're encountering strange behavior: files copy, ticks appear in a second, then files are ready to install. Installation takes about 2 minutes, updates take 1 second, and it boots into the same installer where you choose time and date. After trying again, something gets installed as shown in the pictures. You've cleared everything and retried, but it keeps looping. Any suggestions?

Check the installation source. Are you using a USB 3.0 drive? The quick boot times suggest the media might be damaged or corrupted.

You're asking about adjusting the boot sequence. You placed the USB first so it boots, then selected the SSD for installation. Please review the images and let me know if you need further clarification.

Ensure SSD is set as the first choice during automatic startup in the BIOS settings. Each manufacturer's configuration varies, so you may need to adjust accordingly.

Access BIOS settings and adjust the hard drive order to position it as the first drive.

It seems you're asking about the installation location of Windows. Would you like to know where it's typically installed on a computer?

It verifies each component before starting up. You might want to remove the USB port and test again.

It performed similarly and I began to feel frustrated, but once it restarted it kept installing! Thanks! Also appreciated the details on booting in general.
